I’m really into branding. I spend a lot of time wandering around the net, enjoying some of the wacky-but-somehow-appropriate names and logos people come up with for their websites, companies and projects. Usually, I can come up with pretty good names for things myself.
But I’ve got this problem. I’m about to start my own tech industry events agency, concentrating on large-scale and high-end parties, networking events, suppers and conferences. Nothing too ambitious to begin with: this is a side-project for me. The thing is, I can’t, for the life of me, come up with an awesome enough name.
That’s where you come in. I’d like you to suggest a name for the agency. Something smart. Something elegant. Maybe even something erudite. The last experiment I tried with social media worked out pretty well, so I have pretty high expectations…
What would you call a technology industry events agency? Please send answers via email, with ‘I’ve got it!’ in the subject line. There’s a bottle of champagne in it for you, if I go with your suggestion. That, and my (publicly stated) eternal gratitude. Over to you.

What about Networks? or some derivation…
The moonwalk has gone to your head – calm down now!
The Tech Event. It’s simple!
Iridian – starting with an ‘I’ there will be fewer business contacts with the same initial ; It’s memorable , techno-sounding but can’t be quantified or isolated or confused with anything else ; it has a mellifluosity yet ruggedness of an aftershave brand but with the sci-fi hint and the potential secret service allusions…”I work for Iridian…” ; ‘the representative from Iridian’. Plus psychologically tetra-syllabic words denote intimations of security…
Well that’s my suggestion anyway!
