Remembering the King of Pop

In Announcements on December 30, 2009 at 11:55 am

A few of you may remember a little shindig we had at Liverpool Street Station earlier in the year to celebrate Michael Jackson’s death. About 2,000 people came together for a “mass moonwalk”. You can see CNN’s coverage of the event here.

Don Riddell asked me to appear on CNN again to talk about the moonwalk as part of their end-of-year round-up. We revisited Liverpool Street (I hadn’t been back since) a few weeks ago and talked about Michael Jackson’s legacy. The interview is here.

And here’s the original coverage from the moonwalk:

  1. Congratulations on the coverage you received doing this. I was there on the day (you can actually see me in the pale blue shirt in the still frame above, directly below the play symbol) and this was how I started following you on twitter, incidentally. It was a great event and a fine example of how people can band together through the use of social media to share events together that shape our lives. Well done, Milo.
