If the person is being evasive, deceitful, unforthcoming or the like by the use of repeated phrases, that's quite different from the way a retard repeats phrases. That's why I found your use of the retarded parallel inappropriate in the context of this dialogue. It's not to do with whether you called him one or not, it's that the usage is wrong. Aside from that, great piece. Gaming followers is a ridiculous thing and I'm glad you exposed that agencies/people might do that. I do feel he could have volunteered a yes/no answer far sooner but the bigger point for me, having never bothered to look at followers and never been to a cozytweetup is to see accounts more holistically.
